I come from generations of entrepreneurs, creatives and craftsmen. This is my love letter to each of them…only easier to spell.
Born in California, raised in Vail, Colorado, visiting family every summer on Cape Cod, my creative influences span coast to coast, past to present. I come from a family of entrepreneurs with a strong work ethic and devotion to their craft. Growing up, my mom owned a fabric shop. My dad was a custom home builder and owned his own construction company. I remember countless hours wandering the halls of the valley's most enviable homes, decorating and redecorating them in my imagination. Both of my grandfathers were also custom homebuilders and woodworkers. My extended family boasts an impressive line up of musicians, authors, and artists. My entrepreneurial disposition and passion for creative work feel like their living legacy within me. This endeavor is my humble love letter to all that came before me for having the courage to pursue their passions and the generosity to show me the way.
I have a degree in English Literature from the University of Denver. Over my professional career, I have worked almost exclusively for small businesses and entrepreneurs. I spent 15 years in sales, 10 years in fashion and visual merchandising, and most recently 5 years in interior styling and home staging. The enduring commonality among them all...an obsession with storytelling.
We each have a story to tell: one that celebrates who we have been, attests to all that we are, and encourages us to imagine all that we could be. Every story has a setting and for many of us, our story begins and ends at home. Of course, I do this work for me. I find personal fulfillment when composing dynamic, functional, and beautiful spaces, but the privilege of it is not lost on me either. Interiors is a delicate and intimate art. I am humbled and ever grateful to help others delight in the possibilities of their space and conceive of a setting worthy of their narrative.
